During lunch, some of the team met a woman named Heather, who happened to be a 2006 Messiah College graduate! She is here working with Iris (you may have have heard of it if you follow Heidi Baker). What a small and wonderful world we live in.
After leaving Leank, we went to a large mall called Siam (the guys were hungry for lunch #2, and the women were in the mood for some Dairy Queen). I saw some men spinning some dough with meat in it into balls, and frying them. The process looked so interesting, I had to try some.
I later learned they were "Octopus Balls." They were extremely hot, but delicious!
We then went back to the guest house to catch our van to Korat. The trip ended up being 4 hours instead of 3 - so the team was very hungry when we arrived. In addition to hungry, they were tired, so Mark and I booked a Tuk Tuk and went to the local grocery store. On the way home, Mark said, "Now, this feels real." I guess Tuk Tuks will do that to you! Here's a video (be sure to watch it in HD):
Today we meet our contact here in Korat, and go shopping for Sandwich Materials for 40 people! I am not sure if I am allowed to mention where we are going today, or why we need the sandwich supplies - but I would love for you to pray it goes great and that the Love of Jesus shines through!!
Thank you for all of your support and Love!
Susan: were you praying joy over us on Sunday morning at 7am your time? I am not sure that our van driver ever heard a group laughing so hysterically! :-D
